3-YUGOSLAV USE WWII GERMAN 98K MAUSER RIFLE STOCK SETS-COMPLETE-M98/48

Description

This auction is for (3) very good condition original WWII German 98k Mauser rifle stock sets that saw post war Yugoslav use and are known as the M98/48. The Yugoslavs were using left over WWII German 98k Mauser rifles and when the barrels wore out they replaced them with M48 barrels which are 1/2" shorter than the 98k. This caused them to shorten the stock 1/2" at the front end. A standard 98k action still fits fine. Complete including handguard, both bands, band spring, bayonet lug, recoil lug, bolt takedown washer, and buttplate. 2 with laminated stocks and cupped buttplates. One walnut stock with flat buttplate.  All with laminated handguards. Wood has been arsenal refinished and shows some normal handling marks. Left side buttstock has added serial number. No cracks or damage, all good tight wood. 3 hard to find stock sets to restore, repair, or upgrade your 98k Mauser.
