    German M-31 "Coconut" canteen
    Manufactured by Heinrich Ritter
    Canteen is aluminum on the inside and bakelite on the outside with a bakelite cap and aluminum cup. Leather straps hold everything together.
    Canteen is marked:
    Ritter
    Alfurit
    D.R.P.a
    11
    From what I've been told, D.R.P. stands for Deutsches Reich Patent and is pre-1949.
