It is located in the original wooden box (with the brand of the manufacturer), a leather insert and bronze parts parts. The clinometer is in excellent condition , everything works. See photo. "W.M35" - Winkelmesser 35.  The size of the box is 13 by 14 cm, the size of the device is 11.3 by 11.3 centimeters, the thickness is 2.2 centimeters.No original key.The box has the manufacturer's stamp in the upper right
The W.M.35 clinometer was used to raise the barrels of heavy artillery pieces to the correct tilt to hit the target. When used for ranging, it will be set to the desired quadrant height and then attached to the barrel of the pistol, which has then been raised. The height adjustment or tilt reading was very accurate as it was a very long scale around the moving barrel. This type originated in World War I and was used until the end of World War II.
