Original German WWII Large Size Medical Canteen With Matching Numbers - VDNS 39

Description

This auction is for one original German WWII medical canteen. This canteen is larger that the regular canteens used by the Wehrmacht during WWII. This one is missing the leather carrying strap, but the buckles are still present.
This is an early war production with the cup and canteen numbers matching as VDNS 39.
It is in well used, but good condition with normal signs of age and wear including drying and cracking of the cup strap.
It is being sold as a display piece.
The canteen leather harness and canteen cover have never been removed by me and it is has not held water while in my collection.
