original WW2 german gas mask canister

Up for sale is a nice condition WW2 German Army gas mask canister with mask. The mask itself is not German but appears to be a Czech mask that was retrofitted to accept German filters. The canister itself appears to be from 1942 and is in good overall condition only showing some minor surface rusting to some areas of the canister. The carry strap and buckles are also in decent shape with only some minor damage to the fabric. The spring closure on the canister is in perfect condition and operates as it should. The mask itself is in great shape with no noticeable damage to the mask. It appears to be manufactured in 1937 and fitted with a 1943 filter. Overall, this is a nice condition piece that would make an interesting addition to anyone’s collection.
