1x Tiger I / Panzer VI / Sd.Kfz.181 spring loaded catches ammunition panniers #2
Each round that was stowed in the racks would held securely in place by two spring loaded catches, at the base and the middle of each round respectively. Each catch was covered with padding that prevented metal catch to metal contact as well as acting to dampen vibration. The Tiger belonged to the 503rd tank battalion and was destroyed in the Korsun' Shevchenkovskiy battle near the village of Dashukovka, Lysyansky district, Cherkasy region, Ukraine. Ground dug found condition, remnants of original paint. The latches move freely.
