Description
WWII era 8mm Mauser broken shell extractor. These are post 1941. These were found in the 1990's in an East German warehouse along with other original WWII German items that were stored by the Soviets. These were among the last surviving examples in Europe. They are in as stored condition and some are coated in a thick grease. Some collectors like them with the storage grease, so we do not clean them.
Sadly, they are all unmarked. We've heard of marked examples, but have never seen one.
They were originally for the MG 34/42, but they work on any system using the 8mm Mauser cartridge. They are a 3 piece design.
They were originally part of the tool kit for the MG34/42 systems, but quickly gained favor among the "Elite" troops, Snipers, etc.
They have the slotted tips that aid in disassembly in extremely cold conditions that caused many problems.
They are a great addition to your Mauser cleaning kit. They're great for your range bag, hunting kit, or addition to ANY 8mm Mauser that you have.
Any surplus ammo that you can get is questionable after decades of storage, so this is a great original STEEL tool to fix any annoying delays when you're hunting or enjoying a day at the range.
These are original items, and when they're gone, they're GONE, there are NO more. We bought these years ago and recently found them while moving.
