Condition: Like new condition. Rubber is like new - Not sticky anywhere. Climate controlled storage all these years - Was stored in the vet's foot locker after he returned home after end of WWII. No other previous owners.

Description

WWII Original German Gas Mask (VM40) for High Ranking Civilians and Civil Defense Workers.
Head straps and rubber mask are in perfect, "like new" condition. No tears, rips, or corrosion of any kind. Smooth screw on/off aluminum pancake-shaped respirator filter.
Production date "1940" on a glass
lens. Many production stamps on inside of mint rubber mask still visible.
According to Vet's story it was taken from a Storage Depot at a SS facility in
Oberammergau, Germany, as a war trophy in last days of war. Was
in climate controlled storage at the Vet's home since.
